Junior Achievement Finland

Junior Achievement Finland (Nuori Yrittäjyys ry) is a non-profit association. We support entrepreneurship education where our goal is to get young people to identify and utilize their abilities. Our programs are based on learning by doing mentality.

JA Company Programme

In the JA Company Programme students establish a real-time minicompany. By challenging the students to solve a problem in their community through a business venture, the Company Programme unleashes their entrepreneurial spirit. Students experience running their own company (for one academic year), they discover first-hand how a company functions and gain an insight into how their talents could be used to set up a business.

The aim of the JA Company Programme is to enable students to form their own real enterprise and discover first-hand how a company functions. They elect a board of directors from amongst their peers, raise share capital, and market and finance a product or service of their own choice.

The program is part of the teaching and practical activities of the educational institution.

JA Start Up Programme

The JA Start Up Programme gives post-secondary students the opportunity to experience running their own company, giving them insights into how their talents could be used to set-up a business. Students also develop attitudes and skills necessary for personal success and employability, even understanding the inner-workings of business. They gain key understanding in self-employment, business creation, risk-taking and coping with adversity, all with the support of experienced business volunteers.

The programme is currently running in 20 countries across Europe.
